Eye Ballin'
written by C. Carson Parks II

Lyrics:

I been Eye-ballin’

Lookin’ at the girls downtown since you turned me down.

I been just stallin’

Waitin’ for the time to pass till you come around.

Maybe I was just a fool to go lovin’ you

Then you turned around and you told me that we were through.

So I’m night-crawlin’

Hopin’ you’ll change your mind for a love that’s true.

No more Eye-ballin’

‘Cause I’ll have these eyes for nobody but you.

Maybe I was just a fool to go lovin’ you

Then you turned around and you told me that

after all of this time we were through.

So I’m night-crawlin’

Hopin’ you’ll change your mind for a love that’s true.

No more Eye-ballin’

‘Cause I’ll have these eyes for nobody but you.

Carson's Remarks:

This was written because I liked the chords. Often, if I get a "songwriter's block", I'll move to another instrument, or learn another chord, or go out on a limb and see if I can make something out of it. In this case, I guess, I had a lemon, but lost the recipe for lemonade, because it turned out to be not much of a song! Fortunately, I didn't spend a lot of money on the demo.
